Inspiration Can Strike Anytime & Anywhere. Get a Blogger’s Notebook!
Do you have a blogger’s notebook? If you do, are you using it?
A blogger without a blogger notebook is like a photographer without a camera!
You see, a photographer captures images with their camera but it is only published after it has been edited and processed in a photo editing program.
For a blogger, a blogger notebook is where you capture inspiration for your posts.
Now obviously, some of you may prefer to keep everything digital, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Personally, I like to keep a physical blogger notebook. It is just really easy for me to jot down whatever comes to mind.
My blogger notebook goes everywhere with me.
If an idea for a blog post comes to mind I write it down. If in the middle of the night I can’t sleep because inspiration has struck, I get up and write it all down. This normally helps me to sleep too.
Bloggers are like the explorers of old. At least that is how I like to see them.
As a blogger, you observe, study and log your findings on whatever topic you have chosen. You sift through endless volumes of information to find those hidden gems worth sharing with the world.
It is only fitting then that as the old explorers kept diaries and journals, you keep a blogger notebook.
Right, now let me share some awesome blogging notebook hacks…
5 Simple Blogging Notebook Hacks
1. Using Your Blogger Notebook to Achieve Your Goals
One of the very best ways to use your notebook is to help you achieve your goals and forward your blogging purposes.
It is well worth writing down your goals at the beginning of your notebook. You should re-read your goals at the start of every day.
Achieving your goals won’t happen without taking action. This is why you must do these things:
- At the beginning of each new month, write down what actions you must take to move you closer to your blogging goals.
- Each new week write down what actions you must take to get your monthly actions done.
- Lastly, each day you should write down a list of actions to take to make sure your weekly actions are carried out.
By doing the above you will be able to move closer to achieving your blogging goals without overwhelming yourself.
The way to climb a mountain is one step at a time!
2. Writing Back to Front & Front to Back
This is a really simple blogger notebook hack.
What I like to do is write down my goals, monthly, weekly and daily actions front starting at the front of my notebook.
When it comes to writing down blog post ideas, thoughts, motivational quotes, etc. I start at the back of my notebook.
If you bought a simple notebook with only lines in it you can flip your notebook and it will be just like writing front to back.
If your notebook has a place to add the date then you may not want to flip it. Don’t worry, it is still easy to write back to front.
This makes it easy to separate your action steps from your thoughts and ideas.
3. Staying Motivated & Inspired
As a blogger, you will from time to time have a bad day. You may feel unmotivated. You may feel you are going in circles. Or you may be suffering from a bout of writer’s block.
Personally, I find that as long as I am writing down my action steps monthly, weekly and daily and actually getting them done, motivation is not an issue.
But, sometimes you need an extra boost.
This is why I like to write down thoughts and quotes that inspire me and that are aligned with my goals and purposes in life.
Life can be full of distractions and obstacles. In fact, these things are all part of the game.
However, if you want to win the game you need to keep your eye on your goals and not let the distractions and obstacles keep you from them.
The moment you start putting your attention on removing the distractions and obstacles in your life, you lose sight of your goals.
Keep taking action towards your goals and the distractions and obstacles will melt away!
4. Make Your Blogger Notebook Your Own
Your notebook will only help you if you are using it.
Think of your notebook as an extension of yourself. Make it your own!
When buying a notebook make sure you like its style or design. Maybe you like a large notebook, maybe something smaller, it’s your choice.
You can also personalize your notebook in any way you choose.
Write in colour. Write with a fancy pen. Use stickers, bookmarks or anything else that makes your notebook more personal and valuable to you.
It is your blogger notebook, use it in whatever way makes you happy. There are no rules!
5. The Most Powerful Blogger Notebook Hack!
In life, there are some things that are more motivating than others.
The most powerful motivation comes from duty!
What do you feel is your duty?
Is it a duty to your family? Duty to your country or the world?
How far does your duty reach?
Personally, I feel I have a duty to my family to provide for them the best life possible. But I also feel I have a duty to help every other person on this planet if I can.
To remind me of my duties, I like to keep photographs in my notebook. While I cannot keep photos of everyone on earth, I can keep photos of my family.
These photos remind me of my duty. They help keep me motivated and on track.
This can be a powerful tool so use it!
