Our Website Design Process

We like to keep things simple and stress-free. Here’s how it all works:

  1. Website Selection: Select the website package that fits your needs (or discuss your custom website design needs with us).
  2. Kick-off & Discovery: We start by getting to know your business, goals, and what you want your new website to achieve. Once we’ve got the details, we’ll plan your site’s structure and look within the scope of the package or your requirements as discussed.
  3. Content & Assets: You’ll need to provide your branding assets (like your logo, colours, and fonts), website content, links to social pages, contact details and any images or videos you’d like to include. The sooner we have these, the sooner we can get started! (We can help with content creation and copywriting if you need it.)
  4. Design & Review: We’ll design your website and share it with you for feedback. (There may be 1 or more feedback rounds depending on your package.) We ask that you provide feedback promptly (within 7 days) so we can keep things moving smoothly and meet the project timeline.
  5. Launch & Support: When everything’s approved, we’ll launch your new site! We’ll also be here for any support, updates, or extra features you may want down the line.

Please note: We have a limited number of development servers, which we use for new website projects. Delays in supplying project feedback may incur additional fees, as they tie up our server resources and delay new projects.

If feedback is delayed for more than 7 days, we will charge a server fee of R 100 p/d for each day past the 7-day limit.

If you foresee a long delay, please speak to us so that we can back up your project and move it off the development server until you are ready. This way, only a monthly backup fee of R150 p/m will apply.)

1. How long does it take to build a website?
Timelines depend on the size of your website and how quickly content and feedback are provided. Most projects take a few weeks from start to finish once everything’s ready to go.

2. Do I need to provide my own content and images?
Yes, we’ll need your written content, branding assets (like your logo and colours), and any photos or videos you’d like to use. We can also help source professional stock images or handle copywriting for you if needed.

3. What if I don’t have all my content ready yet?
Without your content, we cannot start a project. Your content is the most important part of your website, and the website is built around it, like a picture frame. You cannot choose the right frame if you don’t know what the picture looks like. If you need help creating your content (text, graphics, photos, etc.), we can assist you with professional Google-friendly content.

4. Can I make changes after the website is live?
Absolutely. Once your site is launched, you can request updates or new features anytime. We also offer ongoing maintenance and support if you’d like us to handle that for you.

5. Will my website work on mobile devices?
Yes! Every website we design is fully responsive, meaning it looks great and works properly on phones, tablets, and desktops.

6. What about SEO and Google?
All websites we create are built with SEO best practices in mind, so your site is ready for search engines. If you want a more in-depth SEO strategy or content optimisation, we can help with that too.

7. What happens if I need help after launch?
We’re always happy to help. You can contact us anytime for updates, support, or advice. We also have website care plans available if you’d like ongoing technical support and maintenance.
